Our froggy friend

Our second last and favourite along with the rat. The frog was our first really complex dissection which made it all the more fun. Although the rat resembles us more the frog also had many similarities.
This is our frog before we began. It felt rubbery and smelt like preservatives.
Under side of the frog, smoother and much paler than the other side.
In side the mouth, which felt hard almost like teeth with a tongue sticking out .
Cloudy smooth eyeball, which was under multiple lids.

In side of the frog (Fat removed) you can see almost all organs and the chest cavity.
All upper organs removed revealing the spine and the kidneys
All the organs we found in the body of the frog! Labeled and all :)

Rat dissection

I enjoyed this dissection way more than I would've thought. At first I was a bit nervous but then told myself to get it together because this was the very last dissection of the year, and it was a good one! We were able to see all it's innards and see how similar they look to ours! Take a look at the pictures from the lab!

Rats heart cut open exposing it's ventricals
Inside of the rat, all organs removed, able to see the rib cage very easily.
Here are the labeled organs we extracted from the rat! Look how similar to ours they are ! Just a lot smaller.
This it Gurleen holding the lntestines which was coiled up below the stomach. It was very long when we stretched it out.
Here is the rat right after we cut it open(covering it's little face). you are able to see  organs like the intestines, liver, and stomach.
Our untouched rat. (You see why I covered it's sad little face ?)
